Strength
Strength building activities involve lifting or pushing or pulling against a force or resistance. These can include bodyweight activities like push-ups and sit-ups, weight training exercises like squats and bench press, or even leisure-time activities like raking the yard or climbing on a jungle gym. Everyone at any age can, and should, perform strength training activities to promote health and well-being.
Strength training makes muscles stronger and also helps keep bones healthy. It helps to support good posture and balance and allows us to perform our normal daily activities.
